The Spring Fling is Second Baptist’s name for our annual Easter Egg Hunt. We call it The Spring Fling because we want it be more than a simple Egg Hunt. For the past several years it has been a great time of fun and eating for our families and friends. Here’s how we do this event – when the weather is good.
The event is held at the rear of our property surrounding the pond and supper is hosted under our expanded picnic shelter. This area can be accessed by parking in the very back of the field behind the gym. We will be ferrying folks the approximate 1/2 mile to the picnic and amphitheater area in our people mover as well as various golf carts. If mobility is limited there is room for a very few cars to drive down Riley Rd and access the area from that road. Remember, this event has extremely limited parking in order to make the Egg Hunt possible.
We will host some games on the amphitheater stage beginning at 4PM with a planned start time for the Egg Hunt at [4:30]. Supper immediately follows which will be gourmet (read-grilled) hotdogs and various desserts which you are most welcome to bring.
We encourage our folks to bring lawn chairs and if you have any lawn games you would like to share please feel free to bring those as well. Fishing rods are welcome and are your responsibility. Join us for this wonderful event.
